Approximately 1990, we started manufacturing surge tubes and connection tubes/elbows out of fiberglass instead of stainless steel or other exotic metals. Shortly after, M.E.S. started manufacturing their own fiberglass mufflers and exhaust tubing.

As the technological leader in quality exhaust systems, we can design our water injection can(s) to properly cool the exhaust gases. With the exhaust gases properly cooled, fiberglass is the best choice.

Fiberglass is an excellent replacement part for metal components after water injection. Fiberglass is not affected by:

Electrical Attack (electrolysis)

Chemical Attack (salt water)

Combustion byproducts (acidic sulfurous oxide compounds)
Our Fiberglass components:

Unmatched quality with all hand lay up fiberglass fabrication.

Material: Biaxial E-Glass/Vinylester, fire retardant (Class 1) Hetron FR 992 resin.

Far more shock absorbent and resilient - will not shatter.

Excellent chemical resistance.

Unlike bromated polyester resin, our fire retardant vinylester resin does not absorb water at high temperatures.

Less likely than filament wound tubing to "weep" through side wall tubing due to materials and fabrication techniques.

Smooth exterior finish.

Excellent hose sealing properties when compared to filament wound tubing.

Custom tailored fiberglass exhaust components - no problem.

Temperature rating: 240-250 degrees F.
Bright white gelcoat finish standard on all muffler and surge tube products.
Bright white "show quality" finish optional.
316L Stainless steel Crush resistant rings installed inside fiberglass at all hose connections to resist over torquing of hose clamps.

316L Stainless steel Crush resistant rings available separately for customer installation.

Unsurpassed Customer Support

If you are burning exhaust hoses or fiberglass components, your problem can be in the cooling of the exhaust gases - exhaust temperatures after water injection.
That's our Specialty.
Replacing a hose or fiberglass tube is necessary but will not take care of the problem unless you had an isolated incident of losing raw water…for whatever reason.

... AND WILL NOT GO AWAY UNTIL RESOLVED. CALL US WITH FULL DETAILS SO WE CAN PROPERLY ASSIST YOU.

After water injection, exhaust temperatures should desirably be under 180 degrees F - excellent cooling is approximately 135-140 degrees F.
Proper maintenance of your exhaust pipe(s) leaves you with many enjoyable hours of yachting - yachting, as it should be.

WE ARE THE ONLY EXHAUST MANUFACTURER THAT DESIGNS AND FABRICATES BOTH THE STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST PIPE(S) AND FIBERGLASS COMPONENTS - SUPPLYING A TOTAL "TURBO TO TRANSOM ®" OR "TURBO TO UNDERWATER DISCHARGE" EXHAUST PACKAGES.
